Why I Had to Tell This Story

  • The open heart surgery was in 2016 and I had never been sick, no childhood diseases, nothing. That was a major scare for my wife Cheryl and I. 
  • A quick recovery and all's well until August 2024, the stroke scared me the most because it happened so fast. No serious damage, but how lucky can one person be.
  • One month later, I heard the 3 most terrible words...YOU HAVE CANCER. I heard that on my phone while walking on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I thought that was the last time I would see that beach.
  • In all 3 cases, my doctors (4 different ones) told me, my fitness level built my resilience. My fitness level was what helped me recover as I did.
  • That's why I decided to write a book and create a website to share my story.
  • I am doing this to show what's possible, no matter where you're starting.
